Day 7: Sugar Bear

"Matted, filthy and starving. That's how we found her. Sugar has spent the last few years of her life, surviving on the streets in Memphis. She is unsocialized, terrified of a leash and frightened of sudden movements. On a positive note, Sugar is starving for love and acceptance. She is taking baby steps each day to her new life. A very gentle spirit considering her past struggles.

Sugar has been in boarding at our vet since the day she was rescued. I have pleaded twice for a foster family for this dog. I am pleading once again. She will never, never get any better until she feels the love of a human family and the quiet atmosphere of a real home, even if it is just a temporary foster home. Please, search your heart and think about this dog. Think about the life she has known so far. Think about being the bridge to her new life. Think about fostering Sugar for a few weeks so she can have the chance she deserves to go to a loving forever home. She needs some work but this one is so worth it... Call me if you can help us with Sugar. 662-519-1700 I need to get her out of Boarding asap..."

A wonderful family did step up to foster Sugar Bear and last week Sandy announced that the foster family was now a forever family :)
